Fairmont Division

The Fairmont Division is one of only three air-dried recycled pulp operations in the world.

Our History

While the Fairmont Division is the youngest mill in the ND Paper family, it has a strong tradition of producing high-quality products. Founded in 1995 under the name of American Fiber Resources, the mill was later acquired by Resolute Forest Products. ND Paper purchased the mill in the fall of 2018.

Located on the forested banks of the Monongahela River, south of Morgantown, West Virginia, the Fairmont Division is strategically located near several major interstates and railways.

Additionally, the Fairmont Division has built a reputation as a respected sustainable manufacturer. Producing 100% recycled pulp, since 1995 the Mill has saved nearly 6 million tons of recyclable paper that may have taken up more than 18 million cubic yards of landfill space–enough to fill the Great Pyramid of Giza five times.
